Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 09, 2026
Your privacy is extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how MyPC Remote (the "Application") handles data when you use the mobile application and the desktop server companion.
1. Data Collection & Transmission
We do not collect, store, or share any personal data.
- All transmissions between your Android device and your Windows PC are handled locally via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
- When using Global Mode, data is routed through a secure, encrypted tunnel via ngrok. We do not store any files, keystrokes, or controller inputs on external servers.
- No login registration, email, or account creation is required to use this application.
2. Device Permissions Required
To provide remote control functionality, the Application requires the following permissions:
- Location (Fine/Coarse): Required by Android to scan for nearby Wi-Fi network SSID and Bluetooth connection nodes. We do not track your physical location coordinates.
- Bluetooth Connect/Scan: Required to scan, pair, and send controller signals to your PC via Bluetooth RFCOMM channel.
- Camera: Required only to scan the pairing QR code from the PC companion server for instant setup.
- Storage / Media: Required if you use the file explorer feature to share images, videos, or documents directly from your phone to your PC.
3. Data Security
All communication channels are encrypted to ensure that unauthorized devices cannot hijack your mouse, keyboard, or system controls. Your connection token is generated locally and stored securely on your device's private storage (SharedPreferences).
4. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the updated revision date.
